You’ve arrived in Darwin – it’s yours to explore. Spend the day at your leisure before checking in to your accommodation.

DAY TWO
LITCHFIELD NATIONAL PARK
Explore the lush monsoon forests, crystal clear waterfalls and unusual rock formations that make up the spectacular Litchfield National Park. Follow the Stuart Highway to Berry Springs Nature Reserve. Here you will have the choice of swimming or taking a rainforest stroll, enjoying clear geothermal waters, and relaxing water massage under a small waterfall. Pass through the historic township of Batchelor to Litchfield National Park, renowned for its stunning waterfalls like Florence Falls, Wangi Falls and Tolmer Falls. It is also home to unique wetlands, stone country, cathedral termite and magnetic termite mounds and much more. Your guide will tailor the afternoon to your preferences, ensuring a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Lunch today is available for purchase from a local café or you may choose to bring your own. After exploring the kaleidoscope of experiences in Litchfield National Park, you will return to Darwin approximately 5pm. Please note that the itinerary may vary depending on the seasonal conditions of the waterfalls. (B)

DARWIN - LEISURE DAY
Relax and enjoy the facilities on offer at Mindil Beach Casino Resort or head out to explore more of the Top End. The day is yours to do as you wish. (B)

BOARD THE GHAN EXPEDITION IN DARWIN
Settle in to the comforts of The Ghan, relax in your cabin or mingle with fellow travellers in the Outback Explorer Lounge. Enjoy lunch ahead of your Off Train Experience in Katherine. In a region renowned for jaw-dropping natural assets, Katherine boasts one of the Top End’s best – the incredible Nitmiluk Gorge.

Your arrival into Alice Springs after breakfast provides you with time to explore the iconic town in the red heart of Australia. Prepare for a day of fascinating Off Train Experiences and, in the evening, dine under a million stars at the historic Telegraph Station (B,L,D)

THE GHAN EXPEDITION, COOBER PEDY
When you next disembark in remote Manguri, you’ll enjoy a full day exploring the amazing opal mining township of Coober Pedy. (B,L,D)

After completing the famous north-south crossing of the interior you will arrive into Adelaide. (B)
